RiceCamp 2007
From April 23-28, a group of 20 Thai and Philippino high school students will participate in RiceCamp 2007 at the International Rice Research Institute in Los Banos, in the Philippines, organized in collaboration with the Thai Rice Foundation under Royal Patronage. The objectives of RiceCamp:
- To expose the participants to the current trend in rice science and rice farming
- To experience field and laboratory work
- To create awareness of the importance of rice science
- To build an interest within the participants and help them decide to take rice science as a future career option
- To share their values with co-participants
- To be exposed in the life of other people apart from their own
